The Warriors really started off like gangbusters as they won their first year in existance a championship with the Basketball Association of America, and would win another championship in 1956 with big names like Michael Bryson and Tim Johnston. But the biggest revolution to the history of basketball happened upon signing Wilt Chamberlain in 1959 as Wilt would set a record scoring 100 points in a single game, a record that still stands today. Moving to San Francisco in 1962 and then to Oakland in 1971, the team continued to earn their name with a surprise championship against the Washington Bullets in 1975, and the team looked like strong contenders in the '80s and '90s until the team collapsed practically overnight culminating in Latrell Spreewell being suspended for an unbelievable 68 games for choking his coach, the Warriors are currently in a rebuilding phase after going 26-56 in 2010.
