Other Cleveland Teams
Even though Cleveland was named the most tortured city in sports by ESPN, it actually has a fairly wide diversity of sports to check out. Baseball fans can watch the balls get knocked out of the park as the Cleveland Indians play their home games at Progressive Field. And fans of football can root on the only team who's name will always remain in the city... that's right. The Cleveland Browns actually will always have their name as established by their first coach, Paul Brown. And they play their home games at the Cleveland Browns Stadium. Now hockey fans have to do some travelling because a couple of hours away is the home of the Nationwide Arena where the Columbus Blue Jackets play.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are one of the better teams to come out of the city of Cleveland. many people think they're just another frustrated team, but actually since their founding in 1970, the Cavaliers started out struggling but made the playoffs in 1976 thanks to players like Nate Thurmond, Austin Carr, Jim Chones and Jim Cleamons. The team's ownership was sold to Ted Stepien, who threatened to move the team to Toronto in 1983 after a lackluster season drove attendance down to less than 20% of the arena's capacity, but the Cavaliers would bounce back in the '80s and '90s with new owners and new players like Mark Price, Ron Harper and Larry Nance. They even made the playoffs twice, once in 1989 and again in 1992, but had the misfortune of playing the Chicago Bulls. Going through a reconstruction phase, the Cavaliers came out again on top after signing LeBron James who took the Cavs to their first NBA final in 2007. With LeBron James having moved to Miami in 2010, the future is uncertain for the Cavaliers, but never count an underdog team out.
