The Bulls are a team that didn't do much for the first 18 years of its career. Actually, the Bulls were a very defensive minded team in the '70s, but they constantly struggled in the playoffs. They couldn't even catch a break when they missed out on acquiring Magic Johnson in 1979 on the loss of a coin flip.

That would change forever with the signing of Michael Jordan as a first round draft pick in 1984. Michael Jordan was set out to change the league forever, and his accomplishments earned him Larry Bird's undying respect when in 1986, Jordan managed 63 points in a game -- this was compounded by the fact the Bulls were an 8th seeded team. Larry Bird called him "God disguised as Michael Jordan". Michael Jordan would go on to kick down two sets of threepeats, winning the 1991-93 seasons before his retirement and attempt to play baseball, only to return with the Bulls in 1995 and take them to three more championships from 1996-98. The Bulls have struggled to make the playoffs since then, but they still pack them in at the United Center.
